Sigh-

He is often misunderstood
Judged by sterotype
As he struggles
to over come temptation
He is trampled by
the hype
And the mental limitation
That we women bestow
on him
Because we are just so sure he is like the rest
of them
His role is so heavy
But the appreciation
he recieves so light
Now it's time you
sigh- it is your hard earned right
For generations
he has fought
Against the false
images society has taught
See...
He is the hardworking
often underpaid bread winner
He is the solid
rock set to provide, even when his share is thinner
Seldom does he speak
to complain
Seldom do we know
his pain
Dedicated he wakes
in the early morning on his way to provide
Because he is taught
not to cry - he holds his pain inside
Gentle is the heart
of he
But seldom do the
women see
There is strength
in his bones and his blood runs warm
As he sweats and
labors through the day
To keep his family
safe from harm
She doesn't see
No not she
She only thinks
of what else could be
This gentle giant
misunderstood
Only wishes to be
appreciated for his good
She slings dirty
unfair phrases
Tossing salf insult
instead ot sweet understanding praises
Run her water, buy
her flowers
She is a beast and
abuses her powers
Diamonds that sparkle
and maybe a prada purse
Dedicated when the
money is good- and life is simple
Yet unsettled through
the worse
Silent giant he
does not complain
Even though his
efforts to please seem to be defeated and in vain
Why canb't they
see the beauty in this strong man
Who sacrifices and
gives what he might- what he can?
Weary man lay down
your burden and please take a seat
You;ve traveled
a long hard journey- and you are victorious although
Society may have
made you feel defeat
Take a moment catch
your breath
These are the thoughts
of I
And take a moment
weary man
For I have heard
your sigh...
